Easily spent 2 hours there browsing through my childhood and wanting to buy everything. It made for a great day trip. Can't wait to go back. Employees were nice and helpful.
This place is awesome! Any and everything you could need or want and some. Travel back in time checking out toys and candy from your childhood. Prices are good and the employees are very friendly. Plan on spending a bit of time there, because you will lose track of time reminiscing on the good old days as well as today's favorites.
Very nice. Had seen their commercials on Buffalo TV and always wanted to visit. If you can't find it there, you don't need it. Many speciality items and hard to find vintage items. Tons of housewares. Stop by and see them at Christmas time as I understand the place is literally a winter wonderland of decoration. Huge selection of penny candy as well. Staff very friendly and very helpful. We definitely will make a drive there (for us it's an hour one way) again and again. Prices good but the experience is worth any price. Great job to everyone there.
Wonderful products, many of which are nostalgic. Prices are fair. Old fashioned candy that will bring back fond memories. Great toy section. Something for everyone, especially those who need a unique gift for that unique person who many be hard to buy for.
Undoubtedly one of WNY's treasures, this place is like Amazon: Live! This place has a dancing plethora of stuff you want, whatnots you should try once, and surprises you didn't even know you needed to make your life whole. I'm referring, of course, to the gifts, candies and toys, and kitchen gadget areas respectively. You must go to Vidler's, bro.
The best place on WNY to browse for gifts and old time items. Also don't forget your $.10 popcorn. When you have a few hours you spare and live life when you were a child this is the place. We bought some old candy...Violets, foiled coins, and yes candy cigarettes. They also have some old games...tiddly winks. So much fun. They have many romoms and even a downstairs. Great place to find your childhood and share time with the family reminiscing.
I use Vidlers as a perfect example of how local stores can compete with Walmart and Amazon. It’s a delightful place where you can spend hours. The staff is nice and they are happy! I make sure to go every time I’m in the area.
If you are looking for hard to find things, you must shop at Vidlers I took my grand-daughter shopping with me, and she was so excited to find so many things she wanted. It made it easier for me to know that she was getting all the goodies she wanted so that I didn't have to return things she did NOT want. I found many treasures for myself as well, many unique things i could not find elseware. Great shopping adventure
you will find what you want and you will find what you didn't know you wanted - don't forget to head to the penny candy in the jars. fun and interesting place to spend some time and enjoy the long lost items of yesterday
This store has so many unique items. It is fun to just walk around and browse for hours. My favorite section is the Christmas section and the kitchen section. When we have people in from out of town I always make sure to take them to Vidlers. There are so many fun things that are impossible to find anywhere else.
This place is huge. Lots of knick knacks and awesome twists and turns in the building. The downstairs has kitchen items, decorations, and sewing things. The kitchen gadgets are my favorite part as well as the cookie cutters! There's a table downstairs with antique looking hooks that are very cute! I've been meaning to purchase a few because they would be great for a closet. The main floor is a sea of goodies. From toys to a full candle section - you'll always find something to walk out with. This place is ideal for Christmas or birthday shopping!! I can't wait to get back here. It's super convenient and fun to poke around. I also like bringing our friends here when they visit. We grab a coffee and walk up and down Main Street for a while. Definitely a place to see whether you're near or far!!
Vidler's is a tourist destination as well as the place locals go for everything from penny candy, garden gnomes, craft supplies, cookie cutters in every size and shape and office/school supplies. But the best part, is that you always find something you love but never knew you needed. Plan to spend several hours if you can!

Everyone has to come here at least once. After you do, you'll find yourself returning here, at least once every couple of years for the nostalgia. The store is the same as I remember it. It has a few different rooms full of different things on the upper level. On the lower level, it has a room with baking things, a room with Christmas items, and another small room. A small area full of greeting cards on the upper level was where I picked up a new small address book for myself. I really needed one!!! I picked up two Christmas gifts on the upper level. The huge area just past that had vintage games, many different kinds of puzzles, and other cool gifts. On the far side of that room, on the upper level, was vintage candy. I bought three kinds of candy that you can't find around here for myself. I also bought some Mr. Roger' Encouragements for myself.
