Easily spent 2 hours there browsing through my childhood and wanting to buy everything. It made for a great day trip. Can't wait to go back. Employees were nice and helpful.
This place is awesome! Any and everything you could need or want and some. Travel back in time checking out toys and candy from your childhood. Prices are good and the employees are very friendly. Plan on spending a bit of time there, because you will lose track of time reminiscing on the good old days as well as today's favorites.
Very nice. Had seen their commercials on Buffalo TV and always wanted to visit. If you can't find it there, you don't need it. Many speciality items and hard to find vintage items. Tons of housewares. Stop by and see them at Christmas time as I understand the place is literally a winter wonderland of decoration. Huge selection of penny candy as well. Staff very friendly and very helpful. We definitely will make a drive there (for us it's an hour one way) again and again. Prices good but the experience is worth any price. Great job to everyone there.
Wonderful products, many of which are nostalgic. Prices are fair. Old fashioned candy that will bring back fond memories. Great toy section. Something for everyone, especially those who need a unique gift for that unique person who many be hard to buy for.
Undoubtedly one of WNY's treasures, this place is like Amazon: Live! This place has a dancing plethora of stuff you want, whatnots you should try once, and surprises you didn't even know you needed to make your life whole. I'm referring, of course, to the gifts, candies and toys, and kitchen gadget areas respectively. You must go to Vidler's, bro.
This store is in the heart of East Aurora NY. It is 4 or 5 stores all linked together. If you can't find it here, you won't find it. From friction toys 10 cent popcorn. From canning needs to material and collectibles. Family owned for a very long time, the family still runs it. Don't miss this one if you are in the area
Love this old style 5 and ten store if anyone remembers what those are. Has almost anything you can think of and a lot of old time candy and toys.
Been going to this HUGE five and dime since I was a kid. You can still get 10 cent popcorn from the old machine. Kids can ride Sandy the mechanical horse. There is a nostalgic penny-candy counter. Lots of rooms to explore.
Vidlers is not just for tourists (although you will occasionally see a tour bus parked in front)...I'm a local and I enjoy stopping in regularly too. There are SO, SO many items here...ranging from craft supplies, toys, games, old fashioned candy, home decor, Yankee candles, greeting cards, party supplies, food products. Etc etc etc. Lots of local books and EA themed clothing/products as well. It's a great place to go for a unique gift or Christmas stocking stuffers, or if you're working on a school/craft project and need to run in for one last thing. It's also a great place to bring kids because there are a ton of inexpensive toys and candy, so when they inevitably beg "will you buy me something??" you can say yes and not break the bank! There are multiple rooms, floors, and check out areas. There's always an associate around if you need help.
Awesome store to visit. Old time candies and novelties. Many different aspect of the store for different tastes and things of interest. Have been many times and see something different each visit.
This is THE place to go in East Aurora. They have an incrediblly eclectic array of household gadgets and gift items. They are housed in 3 or 4 shop fronts all connected with doorways. So many things to see. Candy, pet items, bird feeders, books, cards, et al. They also host the walk box for the local walking club.
Vidler's is awesome today as it was 45 years ago. This business is a historical memento on Main Street East Aurora absolutely love it and cannot leave the store without finding something special. Must admit I did enjoy the ride along time ago. Vidlers is a place not to be missed especially during the fall holidays
There is limited on-street parking on the main street, but a large lot in back of Vidler's where you enter at ground level to discover all sorts of interesting kitchen gadgets and craft supplies. Upstairs there are three connected store areas with old-time novelties, gift items, toys, and a candy counter with the most exquisite chocolate caramels, alont with other treats sold by the pound. Just look for the white-sided store with the large older man perched on the roof!
I can't say enough about this place!! They carry things I haven't seen in years! Employees are friendly. The place is huge! Loved it
