Jack-In-The-Box

Not many people know the terrifying history of the Jack in the Box, only it’s terrifying existence as a clown that jumps out at you from a box. It’s believed the jack in the box was developed in response to a story about Sir John Schrone, a prelate in 14th century England, protecting a town by casting the devil into a boot and holding him in. What started out as a devil, has transformed into a clown, designed to give kids nightmares for years.
