Easily spent 2 hours there browsing through my childhood and wanting to buy everything. It made for a great day trip. Can't wait to go back. Employees were nice and helpful.
This place is awesome! Any and everything you could need or want and some. Travel back in time checking out toys and candy from your childhood. Prices are good and the employees are very friendly. Plan on spending a bit of time there, because you will lose track of time reminiscing on the good old days as well as today's favorites.
Very nice. Had seen their commercials on Buffalo TV and always wanted to visit. If you can't find it there, you don't need it. Many speciality items and hard to find vintage items. Tons of housewares. Stop by and see them at Christmas time as I understand the place is literally a winter wonderland of decoration. Huge selection of penny candy as well. Staff very friendly and very helpful. We definitely will make a drive there (for us it's an hour one way) again and again. Prices good but the experience is worth any price. Great job to everyone there.
Wonderful products, many of which are nostalgic. Prices are fair. Old fashioned candy that will bring back fond memories. Great toy section. Something for everyone, especially those who need a unique gift for that unique person who many be hard to buy for.
Undoubtedly one of WNY's treasures, this place is like Amazon: Live! This place has a dancing plethora of stuff you want, whatnots you should try once, and surprises you didn't even know you needed to make your life whole. I'm referring, of course, to the gifts, candies and toys, and kitchen gadget areas respectively. You must go to Vidler's, bro.
Our second time here. They are loaded with a variety of items from gifts to cookware. The greatest thing is they carry items no one else has. I saw Fluteaphone for the first time in over fifty years. For those not familiar it was commonly used in elementary schools in those days as your first exposure to a musical instrument. Staff is friendly and helpful. Your welcome to buy or just brouse.
Brings back so many childhood memories. There's not much you can't find at Vidler's. Great houseware selection. Awesome gift items. Fun toy section with lots of old time favorites. Love the old fashioned candy section -lots of candies I truly have forgotten about you can find here. It's always a fun time visiting this store. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is just wonderful.
Most people come to this retro five & dime to reminisce. That is boomers or older. Those younger get to see a little of what their parents' and grandparents' world was like. Old toys, games and candies can be found among an unbelievable assortment of items that includes: craft supplies, kitchen items, bar-b-q accessories, clothing, business and school items, etc. I defy you to spend an hour in this store and not walk out with something. Fun for all ages even if you don't buy much. Worth the trip!
and have loved Vidler's forever. At times I'll be looking for something and drive all over then realise of coarse Vidlers has it. It's such a great place that whenever family comes to town it's a must do on the list. You can always find something on a visit.
This store goes on and on!!! What a variety! You can get just about anything from a greeting card, to dog accessories,to art supplies to funky toys! What an experience! Defiantly worth the visit!
This place has so much in the store, you need to take a couple of hours just to get thru all the rooms and even then, I have no doubt you will still mss seeing something. They really pack everything into 2 floors. They have things you need and things you don't. Clever, retro, and memories galore. Player piano in the corner pumping out the music! Too much to list..Its a must see if you are in the area or even within a couple of hours. Great place!
There were hundreds of rooms of “stuff”. Ok, maybe an exaggeration, but the store did seem to go on forever! From toys to candy to collectibles to home goods to housewares! You could probably spend 1/2 a day in here and still not see everything. A must see if you are in town.
A great place for the whole family to shop! Lots of great gift ideas as well as nostalgic toys, games and a wonderful candy counter to bring back memories of your own childhood.
Great place to bring your children and grandchildren to show them toys or candy you had in your childhood. I will definitely be visiting again. Plan a full day trip to enjoy several hours at Vidlers and shops on Main Street.
